Classes with Becs from Stiletto Studio Cakes in Wellington September 6 & 7



Gravity Defying High Tea cake class $190 Saturday September 6th 9am-5pm
Learn to make your own 3D gravity-defying novelty High tea themed cake – a cake which is fantastic in its own right, but can be modified for any variety of structures and themes (think wine bottle and glass, watering can and flower pot, bag of M&Ms pouring onto cake: the uses are endless!)
Beyond the general design including board covering, making a tablecloth, making a fondant shrewsbury, and decorating techniques, you will also learn how to build and use a cake structure, and use modelling chocolate for decoration as well as structure!
The total cost for this class is $190, and the class is 7 hours long, with an hours break for lunch.
The cost includes the cake structure and board which can be dismantled for later use after class, and styrofoam dummy. You will need to bring:
1 half batch of modelling chocolate (I use Lauren Kitchens recipe from Craftsy: http://www.craftsy.com/recipe/modeling-chocolate). Feel free to make the whole batch and have leftovers to play with!
1 x 8" round cake
1kg of fondant, white (if you want to use red or black in your design, please bring pre coloured fondant)
Buttercream icing or ganache for your cake (approx 2-3 cups)






Modelling class 
The perfect class for those wanting to practice their character modelling! We'll be making a teddy bear, dog, cat, pig and Elmo. Learn lots of different tips and tricks for making your characters, shaping your fondant, and how to use a variety of tools. Skills learnt in this class can be applied to any character modelling in future!
Sunday September 7thh, 11am-2pm
The class costs $70.
You will need to bring:
200g red fondant*
200g brown fondant*
750g - 1kg white fondant*
A container to take your toppers home
* you will have leftovers!





Minion class
Make your own Despicable Me Minion - learn how to stack, ice and fondant cover a tall cake and give your Minion his own personality! Perfect for all levels of experience including absolute beginners and young adults!
Please note: This class is held at Kiwicakes in Kamo, Whangarei.
Sunday September 7th, 3-6pm
The class costs $70.
You will need to bring:
Two 6" round cakes
3 cups of already mixed buttercream icing or ganache
1 packet yellow fondant (750g - 1kg)
1 packet white fondant (750-1kg)
1 packet blue fondant (200g) - you will have leftovers!
Cake board or box lid to sit your cake on
